a homegoing

i just found out that a dear family friend of ours has just passed. her name is doris fulfer and she, along with her husband paul, were close friends of my adoptive grandparents, charles and audrey mieir. although not missionaries by "profession," they were very active in missions and supported the missions ventures of my grandparents. they recently sold all that they had [paul is a very successful attorney] and moved into a small retirement community so that the remainder of their days could be spent in service to others for the glory of God. when my aunt went to visit them a few weeks back, she marveled at how joyful they were and how sweetly humble doris was in reaching out to her neighbors. doris has gone home now, but her legacy...her life..will remain a great testimony to my aunt, my parents, and myself as well.
