magic beetle

MAGIC BEETLE

one beetle is loose.
he sort of "left the camp."
but he might've gotten himself cooked,
in the shade of our upright lamp.

we've had some beetle issues lately. i dunno how they get into our 3rd floor apartment. i guess they fly? =\ anyway...eman collected two of them in an old jar [he refuses to kill them...says i'm sadistic for wanting to. whatever.] so yesterday we had two beetles in the jar. today, there's only one beetle in the jar. and i remember seeing the shadow of another beetle in the light of our tall lampshade last night, thinking it was a third beetle. but now i think it might be the beetle that broke free from the jar. i think he was struggling to get out of the bowl-shaped shade...i kept hearing a "sizzle" last nite...you know, like he was being cooked by the strength of the bulb. ewwww.
