yesterday i discovered mercy ships. a random publicity person who was living a fantasy MTV lifestyle in new york city decided to dedicate a year of his life in service to others for 1) a sort of "penance" [his term, not mine] for his years of self-centered living and 2) to try God out. he's serving on a mercy ship as a photojournalist and posts his pictures on the web. if you feel so inclined, check out his site. the pictures are unbelievable, and i guarantee you will be moved.

i remember mercy ships from years back. they used to be under ywam but separated a few short years ago. they certainly do some amazing work.
